Roots, Rock, Run 5k returns

On May 30th, the morning of the Roots Picnic, we will host our annual R3 race. GCF goes global

From New Jersey to Haiti, Jamaica and Ghana, GrassROOTS work has expanded beyond the United States.   In June 2019, SuperGirl Olivia’s project and JetBlue brought us to Haiti to support orphaned youth and students. Greek series sweatshirts for sale

African and African-American communities have a deeply rooted philanthropic culture, and this tradition extends to Black Greek-letter organizations. This tradition is grounded in the idea that “strangers” become family and community members.   This year, we received unprecedented support from members of Greek organizations. Day 3 of #EndPeriodPoverty Ghana

On Day 3, the GrassROOTS team and members of the Rotary flew to Tamale.   We visited the Zosiimli Girls Junior High School in Tamale, Ghana. We distributed 3 months supply of  sanitary napkins to 250 girls. We also donated and black girl books donated from the #1000blackgirlbooks collection. Families in New Jersey and Georgia are the real winners of the #TurkeyChallenge

Mona Scott-Young is the undisputed champion of the GrassROOTS Turkey Challenge beating board members, Lisa Maxwell and Dr. Janice Johnson.
