City of Plainfield to Host High School Students in “Youth Take Over”

PLAINFIELD, NJ - The City of Plainfield has joined with the GrassROOTS Community Foundation to host a “Youth Take Over” at City Hall. After months of reviewing and collecting books, we are happy to report that the resource guide now has 1000 independent titles of black girl books. As of January 2017, the campaign has collected 9000 books where black girls are the main characters-that equals 1535 distinct books. Roots, Rock, Run 5K in Newark Results and Pics

“Let’s get together and feel alright” is the slogan for GrassROOTS Community Foundation’s 1st Roots, Rock, Run 5K in Newark, New Jersey, on October 1, 2016.
