Beverly Guy-Sheftall , PhD is the founding director of the Women’s Research and Resource Center (1981) and Anna Julia Cooper Professor of Women’s Studies at Spelman College.
Ayo Afejuku Gathing, M.D. is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. Dr. Gathing specializes in promoting a healthy lifestyle and decreasing the stigma of mental illness.
Alero Afejuku, J.D. is a licensed attorney and academician. She completed her undergraduate and master’s program at Florida State University. Sparked by a love of children, she taught middle school and high school students in the subjects of English and Global Studies.
Dr. Janice Johnson Dias is the President of The GrassROOTS Community Foundation and Associate Professor of Sociology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is the author of the recent book: Parent Like It Matters: How to Raise Joyful Change-making Girls
