Food4Life Summit
On September 30th, SuperGirl Huntar launches her social action project titled Food4Life Summit. This food justice event aims to educate youth 10-15 years old on the importance of making healthy food choices even in difficult situations.
Open to all, this family-friendly summit offers a chance to learn the truth about the foods we eat.
Supported by Disney Summer of Service, the summit takes place in coordination with GrassROOTS Community Foundation’s public health initiative #rootsrockrun5k-https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Newark/RootsRockRun5KNewark
Participants will compete for prizes in several games.
- Family Food: You and your crew compete to test your healthy food knowledge;
- Make your plate: Can you find all the ingredients of a healthy meal on your run?
- In and Out: Guess how long you would have to move to burn off what you eat.
