This Father’s Day, GrassROOTS Community Foundation invites you to watch our premiere of A Father’s Story: Rebuilding After Hurricane Melissa, a moving short documentary directed by Garreth M. Daley of GD Films.
The film follows the rebuilding of a home for a father and his twin sons in the Flanker community of Montego Bay, Jamaica, after Hurricane Melissa devastated their lives, an intimate look at one family’s resilience and the community effort that restored their safe housing and stability.
This premiere is Part One of the project. The completed documentary will be released in December 2026.
